How this works
This workflow automates the removal of duplicate tasks from your Linear project on a scheduled basis, saving you hours of manual review and ensuring your board stays organised without redundant items. It's ideal for product managers or teams handling high volumes of incoming requests via Gmail, where duplicates often arise from repeated notifications or similar submissions. The key step involves using the OpenAI Chat Model to intelligently parse and identify duplicates, followed by the Remove Duplicates node to mark them as seen and prevent reprocessing.
Use this workflow when you need regular, hands-off deduplication for Linear tasks triggered by cron schedules, such as daily or weekly clean-ups integrated with Gmail inboxes. Avoid it for one-off clean-ups or projects without AI-assisted parsing, as manual Linear filters might suffice instead. Common variations include adjusting the schedule frequency or adding filters for specific task labels to target subsets of duplicates.
